CURRENT THREATS AS OF:
No Current Large Scale Threats but there are a recent rash of emails with zipped files attached to them which have a virus in them.
If you receive an email from an unknown sender with an attachment, DO NOT OPEN IT. Just delete it.
There are many types of viruses out there waiting to cause problems. They can be transmitted through email, disks borrowed from friends, relatives, or other sources, downloaded from websites attached to a file or files you wanted including web pages, or even randomly transmitted directly to you by way of your IP address (the number assigned to your computer while online). This means that no matter how protected you may be, you are always at risk of getting a virus while online. Good antivirus protection is necessary if you want to surf the web or send email to friends without worry. The following bulletins were put together for you to review at will in an effort to keep you more informed about current viruses and hoaxes to help protect you.
